Humure Coffee Washing Station is located in Rwanda’s Eastern Province (Gatsibo District). The station was newly built in 2017 and joined the Baho Coffee network in 2018 after significant upgrades to fermentation tanks, washing channels and storage capacity. Over its first three years with Baho, production capacity increased more than twenty-fold. Around 1,500–1,900 smallholder farmers deliver cherry to Humure during harvest, and the station employs hundreds of seasonal workers. Humure is also notable for being managed entirely by women, with Stratton Nzaramba leading day-to-day operations. Farms supplying the station lie roughly between 1,550 and 1,835 meters above sea level. Varietal is predominantly Red Bourbon. Processing at Humure includes fully washed, natural, anaerobic and extended fermentations, designed per lot to highlight clarity and sweetness.
